February 2006 Featured Ride:
Congratulations: Bobby Caz

Well, first off i want to thank the adminstrators and
moderators for picking me as the featured ride for febuary. What a way to make
my 1 year anniversary with this site/club. Well heres my story. I have always
been into cars, my dad is the one who started me with them. He had a sweet ss/rs.
And my uncle had a hot el Camino. In there day they were at the top of there
game. And both ran insane. Still love to here the stories of the races they had.
Then we had my baby brother and there wasn't enough room in the back seat for
another car seat. So it had to go. Lil bastard, i would probably own that car
rite now. But all things happen for a reason.
Growing up i loved the way a hot rod would sound as it went rippin by, and still
do. Always have loved the mustang. It was always the car that everyone talked
about and wanted a piece of. My neighbor bought a nice, red 66 vert. And from
that moment on i was in love with the stang and everything it stood for.
I went through the years always wanting one, but never was able to. Family and
there needs always came first. Then a couple of years ago, it was time to get a
new car. after blowing up my starion. Man that was a sweet car.And beleive it or
not, i was actually going out to buy a saturn ion. Gas economy, and insurance
cost were the biggest factors. Then one day i was talking to an old freind,
telling him i was going out to get a new car. But what i really wanted was a
stang. I had told my buddy that i really wanted a yellow, GT coupe with black
leather, and we both laughed and said what would be the odds on finding the car
that i really wanted. So i went out that sunday on a hunt to find my saturn.
Well, as i am cruising around, going from dealer to dealer. I am going down the
road, and what do i see. A yellow stang. I pull into the dealership, not
beleiving what i saw, and saying to myself, this can't be real. So i go in, tell
the dealer to grab the keys and show me the car. As we are walking up to it, i
still can't believe it. Then i see the GT tag on the back. Now theres a big grin
on my face now, still not believing it. Get up to the car, open the door, and it
has the black leather interior. start it up, and i was in love. Could not
believe the car that i wanted, is sitting in front of me. We go inside, haggle a
little and i sign the paper work. Dealer says he'll have the car ready for me
the following day. That monday was one of the longest days that i have ever had.
then the dealer calls me up and tells me that ford credit wants more money down.
All i had to say to him was, I have a bill of sale and i will be there at 6:00
to pick up my car. Calls me a little bit later and says the car is ready,
everything has been worked out. Now i am as happy as a pig in shit. I go down to
the dealer, and they have 3 checks for one thousand dollars a piece. Asks me to
sign them, and the car is mine. The car actually cost me l ess than what the
sticker price was on the ion. took the car for one really sweet ride, stopped at
everyones house that i know, to show it off. everyone loved it.
So, one day i am driving home from work and i hear this sweet sound. So the
driver pulls along side of me, and tells me that the car looks good. I say the
same back. And dam, that thing sounded great. So as we are going down the
southern state parkway, we start to talk. He's telling me about the site, and
also about mustang magic. Then nails it, and wow, what a sweet sound that car
made. Well that was (venomous) john, and thanks again for the coodo's on the
car. A couple of days later i joined the site. That following weekend i went
down to MM, and had them install my mac exhaust and 3:73's. And now was so happy
with the car, i couldn't get the grin off my face for a week. And it took about
a week to rip through the tires and get a new set. Did a couple of other mods to
the car, and started to go to some of the meets down at captree on sunday
mornings. And the rest is history. I have met alot of good guys from this site,
and made a couple of good friends who share the same passion for cars, and are
some real stand up guys. I have learned alot from the members of this site, and
thank you all. Cheers to you Jimmy and Dom, for starting a great thing. I have
enjoyed my time with you guys, and thank you for letting me be a part of it.
Hope there is many more to come. Again i want to thank you guys for picking me.
And until we meet up again, cheers, and be safe.
Bobby Caz
