October 2007 Featured Ride:
Congratulations: John "Falcon69"

First off I would like to thank the SVT Snake staff for
picking my car for ride of the month! My love for cars started when I went to
work one summer for my father at his shop when I was 15. Here it is 16 years
later and it the only job I’ve ever had, and still love it. Over the years I
have owned and built a few cars, including a 69 Falcon, 4 fox bodies and my
current 99 Cobra. All work has been done at my shop Magnum Motors in Yonkers
N.Y. by myself.
I bought the car a year and a half ago bone stock, and stared to mod it and
never looked back. The car sports a ported Eaton conversion, full Maximum
Motorsports suspension, with tubular k-member, control arms and coil-over’s. A
full stainless steel Bassani exhaust. The complete “Red Pill” IRS with level 5
axles and a Torsen diff. The transmission is a race prepped T-56 built by
Rockland standard gear, dyno tested to 800 HP, with a Spec stage 3+ clutch and
aluminum flywheel. The fuel system consists of a Fore performance fuel hat, GT
pumps, Zone 5 level 2 FPDM, and 60# injectors. Other goodies include a Wideband
commander, SOS gauge pod, GMS coils, SCT 2400 MAF and a MGW shifter. The car
made 480rwhp/430rwtq @ 8psi, and has run a best time of 11.91 @ 120mph on 275/17
BFG DR’s. Future plans include a MMR longblock and KB 2.6H.
The car also has been painted Lexus Crystal Pearl White, and I had to put the
meanest front end that ever came on a mustang the 03/04 front bumper and hood,
that with the shaved wing gave me the look I wanted. Chrome 18in Saleen’s finish
the package, for a clean look.
I would like to thank my wife and everyone who helped me make this car the one I
always wanted.
John
