March 2006 Featured Ride:

Congratulations: Liz (FFG)

I want to say first how both honored and thankful I am to have this opportunity! While I am relatively new to this site, I was welcomed with open arms, and I plan to become a permanent fixture around here. :)

I have always had a love for classic cars and Mustangs in general. I always dreamed someday I would have a classic all my own, and still do. When the new style of mustangs came out it was instantaneous for me, knowing... that I would have one! I didn't need to test drive it... I knew I would love it. Every mustang owner I know feels the same way.... and until I owned one, I can honestly say" I had no idea how great it is!".
Since the day I went to the dealer to pick up my new baby, life as I knew it has changed. When all was said and done at the dealer I was explaining horsepower and the mustang to my son, to which he then went to the dealer and said " you know my mom is gonna race this car... and she is gonna win!". While on our very first joy ride, we got stuck in traffic( I didn't care... I was in my brandy new Mustang GT!) However, my son yelled out" C'mon people MOVE don't you know we got horsies in here?!"
I look forward to running my car for the first time at the 1/4 mile this spring, as I am sure a new addiction will arise. I am also looking forward to learning all the ins and outs of the mechanical side of all things car related. As far as modding goes... to date I have SLP Loudmouth Exhaust, tune and tint.... at some point I plan to really get into it with possibly a turbo or supercharger, but I think I am going to start with the basics first... intake, headers etc... Because I know myself... and I KNOW once I start... I wont stop!
I am proud to be a part of the mustang community and plan to have and make many new friends and memories, as well as all the awesomeness that is MUSTANG and all that, that implies!

Thanks again,

Liz
