March 2007 Featured Ride:

Congratulations: JRS BLOWN SNAKE "J.R. Lewis"

Thank you SVT SNAKE !!!!!!

I was shocked to get informed that my car was chosen for this feature. Actually I’ve only owned THIS one for 2 months. The pics below are during some snow showers..
This car has been 10.0’s at 140.xx mph at 3860 lbs. Not by myself, but the previous owner. I’ve since taken 260 lbs out of it and will be going to the track in March to see how it reacts to that.It has a Whipple, pullied for 25 psi, upgraded fuel lines, wiring, 60 lb injectors, SCT 2800 MAF, BAP, BAS, Stainless Works long tube headers and Stainless Works 3 inch off road exhaust. Irs is pretty beefy with 4.10 gears, Level 5 halfshafts, 3 IRS braces and full length subframes. It also has the battery located to the trunk and an 8 gallon intercooler reservoir with Meziere pump. The stock heat exchanger was upgraded to a LFP unit with two electric fans.

The stock 6 speed was replaced by a Lentech 4R70W street/strip terminator automatic, capable of handling 1000 rwtq. It has a PI multidisc torque converter with a 3200 rpm stall, a trans brake and a B&M Super Cooler with 10 inch fan. The suspension is set up with AJE tubular K member and lower control arms, QA1 coil overs with 12 way adjustable struts and 200 lb springs with Steeda billett caster/camber plates. Rear has QA1 12 way adjustable drag shocks.

Wheels for the track are 16x10 D-10 Bogarts with 28x10.00X16 Hoosier slicks, Fronts are 15 X 3.5 Bogarts wirh MT sportsman tires.
Although I’ve not ran this car yet, I have had 2 other ¾ Cobras. The first one I had to one of the first SVT Snake track rental and ran 10.52 at 133.xxx and the second one I had ran 10.70’s with only 2 trips to the track.

This is a fun hobby, a bit expensive, but my wife has a Whippled 03 Cobra and is involved a bit, so it’s not terrible to convince her for mod/mad money..
Thank you again for the opportunity to share a bit about me and my car.
