June 2005 Featured Ride:
Congratulations: Silverbullit (Kevin)

Kevin aka SilverBullitt
2002 Premium Mustang GT
Mach 450 6 disk CD changer
4.6 2V / 5 Speed
Purchased new on 12-21-01
I got into cars at a very early age, my father had a 1965 Mustang GT 289 / 4V ,
4 speed which he bought new in 1965. I also got into road racing at that time
watching Formula 1 and Lemans races with my father when I was 6 years old.
My 1st car was a 1966 K-series High Performance Mustang fastback with a 4 speed
/ 9" rear
I've always loved Mustangs. I had been watching WRC on speedvision and was going
to buy a WRX STi
I purchased this car new from McCarville Ford on 12-21-01. I was planning on
buying a Subaru WRX STi, ordered one in October of 2001 (1 full year before they
were scheduled for US delivery). I started looking at Mustangs because my job
has a X plan Fleet purchase plan.
Well....$100.00 over dealer invoice...0% financing...hmmm
Seemed like too good of a deal to pass up.
Started to check dealers looking for a Highland Green Bullitt, no such luck. But
I really started to like this Satin Silver Metallic car at McCarvilleFord in
Centereach, Long Island
Went back with a cashier's check for $10,000.00 and drove home in a new 2002
Mustang GT
It didn't take long for the modding to begin. 1st mod was the Steeda Tri-Ax (
don't want to bend shifter forks while banging gears), followed by sub frame
connectors ( don't want to tweak the chassis...banging gears) Next came the
exhaust, BBK LT headers with matching shorty H-Pipe with cats and Bassani cat
backs. After that came the C&L Mass Air Sensor and K&N filter, AutoLogic chip
and a Dyno tune at Mustang Magic
265 rwhp / 301 rwtq
I ran a 14.1 @ 100 on stock Goodyear's with 35,000 miles spinning all the way
thru 1st and 2nd gears
I ran 13.903 @ 101 same tires driving out of the hole as if it were a traffic
light on the street
only got those 2 runs at the track.
Then the suspension mods began
Swapped out the stock live axle for a 2003 Cobra IRS
Bilstein race spec shocks and struts with Hyper Coil coil-overs at all four
corners
Steeda front sway, Maximum Motorsports Caster camber Plates
relocated the battery to the trunk for better weight distribution
In the past 2 weekends I installed the 2000 Cobra R front Brembo brake kit and
the Accufab 75mm TB and upper intake plenum (with the help of my friend Mike and
his friend Tony)
All other modifications were performed by Mustang Magic
I have to thank Joe and ALL the crew at Mustang Magic for helping me build my
dream car
This is the best handling car I've ever driven
Future planned upgrades
Hans Racecraft rear shock tower brace
T-56 six speed
After that I think heads , cams and aftermarket intake ( P-51 ???)
