September 2006 Featured Ride:
Congratulations: Pete A. (Pete)
I wanted to begin by saying this is a great honor for me. I want to thank all the people at SVTSNAKE that made this possible, especially to Jimmy V and Dom, the Founders of this site!
This is my story, how it began for me…my love of Mustangs! The year was 1969. I was 12 playing stickball in Brooklyn….my cousin pulls out of his garage with his 69 Fastback Mustang and goes down the block….I was hooked! Fast forward to 1975: looking for my first car….I was riding with my Uncle when we spot a 1970 Mustang Fastback in white with blue stripes for sale on Coney Island Ave. My uncle tells me that car is no good for me as a first car…Oh well. Next day I’m working in the front yard…and down the block comes this 1970 fastback Mustang…It’s my Uncle driving….He bought the car for me…I could not believe it, at that point the happiest day in my life!
My current car, the 2004 Mach1, gives me lots of pleasure, I think everyone is aware of the problem I had with the oil pump making junk out of the rotating assembly! At that point I called on Joe from Mustang Magic and G&R performance. I can’t say enough for those guys..Stevie from MM put it all together and ported the heads, finally Joey did the tuning and gave me a nice package. Thank you!
This really is a great hobby, you can love these cars and build them for the track or car shows or just cruise around. Hey it’s what it’s all about, believe me in the end it’s not the mods or Hp #’s that you will remember the most it’s just the sheer joy of driving it and the love of this hobby!
I also wanted to give a big Thank You to my wife and best friend in life, who puts up with all this….I love ya Diane!
Thank You,
Pete
