September 2007 Featured Ride:

Congratulations: Tony Pipes "Anthony"

I want to thank SVTSNAKE staff for choosing my car for the Feature Ride of the month its a great honor.
My love for cars started in my young teens, when my best friends older brother and his friends would come buy with there Mustangs, 442s, Camaros etc. They looked so cool and sounded great, thats when I new that sport cars were going to be one of my passions.

Then came High School I went to Saunders Trades & Tech and majored in Automotive and took a job as a Bus mechanic at Liberty Lines. When I graduated in 1979 sports cars had taken a back seat, high gas prices, pollution control, low power, etc., just my luck.

My father always liked Chevys so it kind of made me a Chevy guy, so my first car was a 1973 Camaro, I put headers and cherry bomb mufflers, shifter and Crager rims.after that car I bought a brand new 1981 Z-28 black on black 4 spd, posi rear, T-tops the car looked great and was pretty quick for those days but fell apart just as quick. Two camshafts later I sold it.

So in the 80s I changed careers and became a Steamfitter & certified pipe welder hence the nickname TONYPIPES my friends would always refer to me as Tony you no tonypipes. I then bought a home so I was out of the performance car seen for a while, until SVT broke cover with the 2003 Terminator.

I read all the magazine articles, spent hours on SVTs web sight and visited many message boards getting information and how easily modified they can be, I was instantly a Ford guy.

In 2004 on my lunch break me and my buddy went to Brewster Ford to check one out, they had a Silver one in the showroom and it looked great, after a little persuading the guy took the car out of the showroom for me to test drive. That's all it took I put a deposit and it was mine the rest is history. The car has been everything I wanted. I did all the basic mods and the car really came alive, but then you no I wanted more, so that's when I found out about Mustang Magic, I meet with Joe and all the guys at the shop and some SVTsnake members like Pete, AJ, JimmyV, Ron, Floyd there all a great bunch of guys and I got a lot of good feed back and decided to take the plunge and completely modify the car, for show & go.

Thanks again to SVTSNAKE staff for choosing my ride this month, and to Joe and the guys at Mustang Magic for building me a fast car that I always wanted. I meet a lot of cool people since I became an SVTsnake member and look forward to seeing you guys at other events. Dyno Days are always cool.
My current street tune buy Joey at MM is 580hp-540tq at the wheels.
