January 2008 Featured Ride:

Congratulations: Anthony "Stang354" "The Sig Master"

First and foremost, I would like to thank the mods and admins for selecting my car as this month’s feature. I am honored to have my car featured amongst so many amazing show cars and monster power makers! My obsession for Mustangs began when I was a little kid. I remember a white 80-something Fox always passing my house and I always drooled at the sound of the exhaust. I always said to myself that when I was old enough to drive I would have a Mustang. Well, I got my license and I unfortunately didn’t have a Mustang. First off, I was always insured on my own so I could never afford that huge payment as a teenager and secondly, I just didn’t have the money! Fast forward 8 years and three used cars later, I decided that I was going to buy my first brand new car. In 2005 when the S-197 was the craze, I was in search of a brand new New Edge. I finally found the 2004 GT Premium you see here.
I kept the window sticker on for about a month after I had it but finally had to take it off after a cop in my town busted my chops about it and said that if he saw it on again, he would give me a ticket! In any case it is framed in my office.

Even before I owned a Mustang I knew that when I eventually had one, I would supercharge it. I didn’t want to blow the warranty right away so just did the standard mods that every other Mustang owner does at one point. These included, Magnaflow cat-back, SLP Catted X-Pipe, UPR Blue Thunder Short Shifter, Rims/tires, lowering springs w/Tokico shocks/struts and of course 3:73’s installed by Mustang Magic; all other work done by myself. Thanks to being a member of SVTSnake I came across a brand new Procharger Kit being sold by Joann’s brother. I jumped right on that sweet deal and a few months later, I was at 342/350 on a Mustang Dyno, so much for the remainder of the factory warranty! I have to say that installing the supercharger and all the supporting mods myself was an awesome and rewarding experience!

Future mods that are desperately needed are bigger brakes, Spec 2 clutch and drag radials.

I am very pleased with the car and I enjoy driving it whenever I have the chance. To this date there are only 15,978 miles on it. I hope I get the opportunity to get to the track to see what my all my work is capable of. I posted about selling the car recently, but I have since decided that I really want my son to drive and enjoy this car some day (after proving his responsibility, that is!)

I look forward to doing many more sigs for everyone here and also meeting more of the people that make SVTSnake the great place it is!
