Congratulations: The Bone (Wayne Barone)

I am yet another "bowtie" convert. My father was always into Corvettes and had a few. My favorite was his 1966 Marlboro red 427 "turbo jet", but he also has a 1961 350 removeable hard top...and still has the one he bought at 18, his 1974 350 stingray. The interest i have in cars came from that and going to the Bellmore car show with my father as a young kid.

My first mustang was a car i bough new, a black on black 98 GT convertible. I think the car was a great daily driver/racer because it made good MPG and was fast enough at the moment. A full set of boltons and PI headswap, and small hit of nitrous had the heavy 98 convertible going 12.40's on a drag radial. This car will always be remembered.

The current car was bought and worked on for over a year before it ever left the garage. The 1993 Coral Reef LX Notchback is one of the most noticable cars on the road for both looks and sound. Its a 100% streetable supercharged setup that can be heard a mile away. A full set of boltons are complimented with a V-1 Vortech S-trim, and is held together with a solid set of subframes and a bolt in 6-point bar. Inside is a 306 with out of the box aluminum heads, an out of the box intake and a custom cam. The AOD tranny remains in the car to keep it streetable and enjoyable on long drives to OBI and cruise nights. My "notch" has been run at FFW True Street and NMRA Wild Street events over the past 2 years and finished top 5 every time(even driving to the track instead of trailering it like some other guys do). The car is run on both drag radials and slicks. It is driven daily and cruised often.

I would like to thank my crew for always being there for me, the "Posse" for all the help, Crazy Don, Mouth Racing/J-B Automotive, Musatng Magic, Vinny @ Shadow Performance, and everyone else who has helped me get the car to where it is.
Regards,

Wayne Barone "The Bone"
