Southampton, PA Train Fire "January 2, 1982"

Well most of you local people might enjoy this. Im Bored and decided to take this post off my friend from another board..enjoy!

My father works for SEPTA and I came across some awesome pix. This was back in the day, right in the middle of Southampton, crossroads of 2ndStreePike and Knowles Avenue.
There was a camera shop directly across from the intersection and the guy grabbed his SLR camera and snapped the action. My dad got the photos from the photographer and I just found them. Pretty badass.

On January 2, 1982, the crossing at Second Street Pike just south of Southampton station was the site of a fiery crash between a train, a gasoline truck and a car"
